Reading, writing and communicating

In this subject, we develop reading, writing, oral expression and comprehension from real and motivating contexts. The aim is for students to express themselves clearly, confidently and correctly, developing essential communicative skills for their academic and personal development.

A taste for reading, creativity and critical thinking are encouraged, while grammatical and spelling rules are consolidated. Language content is integrated, whenever possible, into interdisciplinary projects, which makes it possible to give meaning to learning.

English

Learning through communication in English

We use the Jolly Phonics program, a phonetic and multisensory method that facilitates the learning of reading and writing in English in a playful and effective way. English is also used as a vehicular language in different areas of the curriculum, favoring constant exposure to the language.

Through songs, games, readings and activities adapted to age, oral and written comprehension and expression are worked on in a balanced way, promoting confidence, autonomy and respect for other cultures in a bilingual and international environment.

French & German

Discovering new languages and cultures

These subjects aim to awaken interest in other languages and cultures, and progressively develop the communicative competence of the students.

Following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), students progress to an initial level (A1), which allows them to understand and use everyday expressions, introduce themselves and communicate in simple situations.

Through active and dynamic methodologies, listening, oral expression, reading and writing are worked on, also promoting respect for linguistic and cultural diversity.

Art education

Creating, imagining and expressing

The plastic arts area encourages creativity, personal expression and the development of aesthetic sensitivity. Through varied plastic techniques, students explore shapes, colors, materials, and creative processes.

Artistic work is frequently integrated into interdisciplinary projects, allowing students to express ideas, emotions and learning in a visual way. The creative process, experimentation and originality are valued, beyond the final result.

This subject contributes to the development of self-esteem, imagination and the ability to communicate visually, promoting a comprehensive and balanced education.

Physical Education

Moving, playing and growing

This subject is essential for the comprehensive development of students. Through play and physical activity, students develop motor skills, coordination, balance and endurance, while acquiring healthy lifestyle habits.

The subject promotes values such as respect, effort, tolerance, teamwork and fair play, always adapting the activities to the needs and rhythms of each student. The objective is to train active, confident people who are committed to their physical and emotional well-being.

Swimming

Learning with confidence in the water

Swimming consolidates mastery of the aquatic environment through progressive learning that combines technique, play and safety. In addition, it is part of the centre's comprehensive approach, understanding physical activity as an essential pillar for a healthy life.

Basic swimming skills are worked on, favouring physical development, coordination and autonomy, without losing the playful and educational character. Aquatic practice also contributes to emotional well-being, personal confidence and responsibility in the aquatic environment.

Robotics

Coding, creating and innovating

This subject encourages computational thinking, creativity and problem-solving from an early age. Robotics is presented as a tool to understand how technology works and how to apply it to real situations.

Through project work, students design, build and program simple models using manipulative materials and digital platforms. During the process, they develop skills such as planning, decision-making, teamwork, and perseverance in the face of error.

Natural Sciences

Discovering the secrets of nature

This subject awakens curiosity about the natural environment and promotes critical thinking and respect for the environment. It is taught in English, favoring the integrated learning of scientific content and foreign language.

Through active and experimental methodologies, students learn about the human body, living beings, natural phenomena and the physical environment. Observation, research, cooperative work and ecological awareness are encouraged, forming autonomous, responsible students committed to sustainable development.

Social Sciences

Understanding the world we share

This subject develops an understanding of the social, cultural, geographical and historical environment, helping students to interpret reality and its role in society. It is taught in English, reinforcing communicative competence and international mindedness.

Through an interdisciplinary and competency-based approach, students analyse their immediate environment and the world, promoting values such as coexistence, respect, justice and participation. In addition, critical thinking, cooperative work and meaningful learning are promoted, laying the foundations for responsible citizenship.

International Mindedness and Communication

This course empowers students to become conscious global citizens. Through dynamic activities, they develop communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
